A wonderful singer/songwriter based in Nashville. This was the first round of promo shots taken for possible cover art use on her upcoming record. As there are both playful and serious themes throughout the album, I want to visually capture this balance. I’m excited for what the next round will look like. Enjoy and stay tuned!
Michelle Wander
A few favorites from a late summer senior session (Michigan). Michelle is a beautiful young woman and was amazing to work with. I had fun learning a little more about her life, her goals, and interests. We were lucky to have a great day to shoot and some beautiful locations around the Dexter area.
The Hoefts
A fun set from a late summer family session. The poor little guy in the photos wasn’t a big fan of smiling for the camera, so we got some good candid shots of the family and him regardless. May be didn’t like my beard ; )
Kevin Banks
Kevin Banks, ladies and gents. Kevin’s a cool dude and a fellow photographer with a strong drive to explore the world and share his discoveries with others.
Anya
My first and only niece (so far). She’s been growing so fast, it’s crazy. In two years, she’s gone from this to looking exactly like Annie; super curly hair, cute round face, and a slight gap in the two front teeth. I was pretty amazed how easy she was during this mini shoot on the couch. She would just look at the camera, then smile, then stop, and then start playing around. Quite the little diva : )
Dave Priskorn (ex-We Are Desire)
Real ‘Merican Muscle…that’s Dave. I’ve known the guy for years and went through school with him back in the day. This was just a fun shoot I wanted to do with him and that awesome ESP of his. Previously, he provided growls for Ann Arbor metal outfit ‘We Are Desire’. He’s an awesome person to hang out with, a devout PBR fan, and all-around badass.
Derek Thornton (ex-We Are Desire)
Another good chap I went to school with. Aside from guitar and listening to metallic madness, he can work up some stellar design items (graphic, logo, and print). Another ESP player obviously, making me sorry I sold mine. Derek is currently enjoying married life in Oregon.
Mel
A short portrait/fashion shoot from the summer of 2009 with Mel, one my co-workers from the portrait studio I used to work at. We just found a few local places to explore and had fun!
Blood Saint
I think new gear is a perfect excuse for a shoot, so when I bought the old 28-70 f2.8 lens, I wanted to give it some exercise. I called in family and friends to stage a mock shoot and we were off! Most of the time was spent working with range and perspective, so we only visited two locations (but got some cool shots).
